Robins Apparel Maui

Robins Apparel Maui is designed and sewn in Haiku, Hawaii. Designs inspired by the unique culture of Hawaii.  Vintage Hawaiiana fashion, Japanese culture, and local designers have all played a hand the design process. Influences of the past and present tied together have created a line of modern beach attire.

Robins Nest Maui

Robins Nest Maui is my new brand of handmade home goods. This little project was designed to help reduce fabric waste from my clothing company. Scrap pieces of fabric are used as pillow stuffing, or turned in to rugs and baskets. The napkins and tea towels are hand screen printed on up-cycled fabric with non-toxic ink.  I believe small changes can make a big difference with time.  New uses for scraps are always happening, so stay tuned for more home goods from Hawaii.

My History

I have been in the fashion industry since 2008. It all started with a basic sewing class, and I was hooked. Figuring out how different pieces all put together make a garment is fascinating to me. Constructing clothing is still my favorite part of the designing process, which is why I make all my clothing by hand rather than having it manufactured.

“When buying from an artist/maker, your buying more than just an object. Your buying hundreds of hours of failures and experimentation. You are buying days, weeks, and months of frustration and moments of pure joy. YOU ARE NOT JUST BUYING A THING, you are buying a piece of heart, part of a soul, a moment of someones life. Most importantly, you are buying the artist more time to do something they are passionate about.
